Love Note 4 : Fate?

This is the continuation of episode 3 of Love Note. I hope that you will enjoy this.

Previously in Episode 2 of Love Note, Avalon found Jade by the fountain after searching for her for a long time. He overheard Jade pouring out her soul to herself. He also found out that Jade likes him. What a find! However, as he was about to leave the place, he accidentally stepped on a twig and it cracked. Jade heard the sound , so she turned to look. Avalon realised the situation, so he bent down immediately. He doesn't want Jade to know about his presence. Jade was curious of the sound so she approached the shrubs. Upon hearing the approaching footsteps, Avalon sneaked away from a route to enter the maze garden. He ran as quickly as he could to avoid leaving any trace of him there. Jade who went to the shrubs saw no one but found a broken twig on the ground. She wondered how could a twig break on itself.

Avalon was already in the school's maze garden trying to escape from being found out by Jade. He took his time to walk out of the maze because he needed some time to think about what he had heard. He was contemplating whether he should tell her about what he heard. After putting much thought in it, he decided to keep it a secret first because he needs to confirm it. The bell rang marking the end of recess when all students returned to their respective classes. Avalon was already seated in class when he saw Jade enter. Chris immediately grabbed Jade and pulled her to his seat. He said "What's the matter, Jade ? You look unwell. Are you sick ?" Simon reached out for Jade's forehead and touched it. He said "Well, you do not have fever but why is your complexion so red?" Jade kept quiet when Chris and Simon were talking to her. All she did was just smile. Then, Mrs Karen entered the class.

"Alright class. Let's start with today's lesson. Turn to page 5, chapter 1. We will be studying about Radio Astronomy. As you can see in the text, Radio Astronomy is the study on radiation of wavelengths that is greater than one millimeter. If you read on, you will understand more about this chapter. Can Jade please read the text for me?" said Mrs Karen. Jade stood up and read aloud the text. Then, Mrs Karen said "I hope all of you understand a little more about radio Astronomy. Now, I will explain your first assignment. I want all of you to complete this assignment in groups of 3. I will put up your groups after class. The assignment is to create a radio telescope that is actually usable. You can use any material to make it but you have to stay within budget. The due date is 2 weeks from now. You can complete your project during the days we are in class but Thursdays and Fridays are an exception. I hope that is clear enough."

With all her heart, Jade does not want to be in the same group as Avalon after what just happened in the Student Council Room. Mrs Karen explained the ways to make a radio telescope that will function, so everyone listened attentively. When class ended, Mrs Karen pasted a piece of paper on the notice board. Everyone rushed to check for their group members. Jade could not see a thing because the boys were quite tall. As for Avalon, he just remained in his seat with no intention of finding out his group members. Then, Daniel approached him and stretched out his hand for a handshake. "Let's work together, Avalon. Do guide me in many ways," said Daniel. Avalon smiled and accepted the handshake when he replied "We will make a great team. By the way, who is the other member ?" Daniel smiled at Avalon and said "Guess it yourself. It is very easy."

The first person who came to Avalon's mind was Jade because she was the only girl in class. He said "Don't tell me it is Jade?" Daniel nodded his head in agreement with Avalon. It was what he had feared because he did not want to be in the same team as Jade. This was because he needed time to calm himself and think about Jade's feelings for him. He can't speak to anyone about it because it is a secret. What bad luck it was for him. Daniel said "Don't feel so down. I don't really want to team up with her either. She still has a bad impression of me. This is going to be awkward." Then, Jade approached them and said "I believe we are in the same team. Let's bury the hatchet and cooperate well as a team. Okay ?" They had no choice but to accept her into the team.

Jade, Avalon and Daniel became a team for their first assignment of the year. Avalon said "Well, the project this time is to create a radio telescope. Any ideas on how to make one that works?" Daniel said "I have seen radio telescopes in New Mexico before but I think it is going to be quite a challenge to recreate one that is that big in size." Jade asked "Must the telescope function just like the real one ?" Daniel replied "That's the problem. It is going to be quite difficult to make it." Avalon said "I have an idea. However, I need to discuss it with Mrs Karen first. I'll be right back." Thus, Avalon left for the staff room. Daniel looked at Jade and realised that something was wrong. He asked "Jade, are you alright? You seem distracted or something." Jade just nodded her head. After waiting for quite a while, an announcement was made ; "Attention to Daniel Maxime and Jade Stewart, please present yourself to the Principal's office now."
Why were they called to the Principal's office ? Did they do something wrong ? What could it be ? Wait for the next episode to find out. Stay tuned !

Love Note 3 : Recess Chaos

The second episode ended in the cafeteria when all eyes were in the direction of the cafeteria entrance. Jade was curious as to who was able to capture so much attention just by entering the cafeteria. She asked Robert "What is happening? Why is everyone focusing at the entrance ?" Robert gave her a smile and answered "Today, there are guests from a reknowned all girls boarding school. That is why everyone's attention was diverted on them." It was true as all the heads turned and followed the direction of the students from the boarding school who stepped foot in the cafeteria. Jade was not paying much attention to them until she saw Avalon with the girls. Her emotions were a mess. She looked like she was blushing, but she was happy and angry at the same time. 

"Robert, why is Avalon with them ?" asked Jade angrily. Robert replied "It is the duty of the Student Council President to entertain guests who visit the school. The Rosevelt Girls Boarding Academy is one of the schools that Venus Academy has connection with. Besides, it is only right if Avalon is with them." Jade was still angry because Avalon had kept a secret from her. Then, reality hit her. She wondered why she was so flustered about Avalon hiding this from her. It is not like they are close friends or in a relationship. She started blushing terribly because she felt embarrassed. After finishing the last bite of her sandwich, she stood up from her seat so as to leave the cafeteria.

Sounds of plates and bowls falling onto the ground and broken glass could be heard. "Kayla, are you alright?" asked one of the girls. Kayla replied "I'm fine. Excuse me, miss. Please watch where you are going the next time." Jade realised that she had actually bumped into one of the students from Rosevelt Academy. Her eyes were big in shock with no words able to come out from her mouth. Her body was shaking tremendously due to embarassment and fright. Avalon reached out his hand towards Jade and asked "Are you alright? Do you want to sit for a moment?" Jade heard Avalon's voice and returned to her senses little by little. A girl said "Miss, don't you have any manners? You should at least apologise to Kayla." Avalon immediately said "Can't you see that she is already frozen because she is scared ? Have some pity on her too. " The girl continued "Look at Kayla! She is all drenched !" Kayla responded "That's enough, Julia. Brother, do you have a spare of clothes for me to change into? Get one for her too, please." Avalon said "Let's go to the Student Council Room. Robert, can you assist Jade when she's walking? Sorry for intruding on your meal time."

Thus, Robert assisted Jade when they walked to the Student Council Room. Avalon and Kayla followed behind. When they arrived at the room, Robert went to find for spare girl uniforms for both Jade and Kayla to change into. Kayla looked at Jade who was still in shock and said "Are you alright ? You have been like that for quite a while." Jade only nodded her head to show that she was fine. However, Avalon said "Kayla, I am sorry about that. Do you have any spare clothes ?" Kayla said "It's alright, brother. I will be returning to school tomorrow afternoon. Our bus leaves around 2 o'clock. You should help her though. She creeps me out." Avalon approached Jade and patted her shoulder when he said "Jade, it is alright now. It was just an accident. Don't worry about it." Jade was still afraid because it was the first time something like this has ever happened to her. She has always been careful with her surroundings. Knocks on the door could be heard when Robert entered with two sets of uniform for them to change into.

Both Jade and Kayla were changing in different rooms. While changing, Jade recollected herself and tried to put the puzzles together. She realised that she heard Kayla addressing Avalon as 'brother'. She was curious about their relationship after hearing just one word. It does seem like she is weird, doesn't it ? After changing into the new set of uniform, she exited the room to see Avalon holding Kayla's hand. That made her very shy and furious at the same time. Avalon called out to her "Oh, are you done changing ? Put the dirtied clothes together with Kayla's." Jade just walked out on Avalon when she exited the Student Council Room. Kayla asked "What's with her ? Don't tell me she has never seen a guy holding a girl's hand before." Avalon said "I'll talk to her later. Now, let me take a look at the cut on your hand. I will treat your wounds, so just wait for a while." Kayla said "Don't mind me. Go after that girl. I don't want to have any enemies. Besides, I think there is another reason for her to walk out on you when you were talking."

Considering both parties, Avalon gave the wound treatment to Robert. He went after Jade who he was unable to find anywhere. When he was about to give up on the search, he saw Jade sitting by the fountain. He approached her silently from the back when he suddenly heard Jade speaking to herself out loud. "Jade, why did you run away ? You should have just put the uniform there. Running away is very rude. You should hurry and apologise to him. Prepare yourslef and return to the Student Council Room," monologued Jade. Avalon was standing behind shrubs to avoid Jade from seeing him. Then, Jade continued speaking " Jade Stewart. What is it with you ? Don't let your heart beat fast when you see him. Don't blush and get embarassed in front of him. Be yourself, the calm and always happy person. Don't show your weaknesses to him. You are making it obvious that you like him.Don't make my heart weak, Avalon." Upon hearing that, Avalon was shocked because he had never thought that jade liked him. He wanted to go away from that place but he accidentally stepped on a twig which made a crack sound. Jade heard the sound and turned to look. Want to know what happens next ? As usual, wait for the next episode. Stay tuned.

Love Note 2 : First Day

This is the second chapter of my story 'Love Note'. Feel free to leave comments too.

Previously, Jade was led to the Astronomy Classroom by Avalon, the Student Council President and Robert, the Vice President. When the door opened, Jade screamed ! Robert asked "Are you alright?" Jade was actually shocked to see a student holding a sword. Avalon let out a sigh and said "Daniel, please put away your sword. Your club activity does not start now, so please keep the sword in its case." Daniel said "Sorry about that. I was just polishing it." Avalon said "It's alright, Jade. He does not mean any harm. Let's go in." Robert, Avalon and Jade entered the classroom when everyone was seated. Jade was embarrassed because she was looking at a sea of boys which is quite uncomfortable for her as she comes from an all girls school.

"Good morning. I have some news for everyone. Venus Academy has just accepted a new transfer student into the Astronomy course. Please treat her with care and guidance. Meet, Jade Stewart. If anyone toys with her, you will be expelled," said Avalon seriously. Jade gave a sweet smile and said "Nice to meet you. My name is Jade Stewart. You can call me Jade." As soon as she finished introducing herself, the boys cheered for her. She felt shy but happy because she had received such a warm welcome. Then, Avalon led her to her seat which was beside his. Robert said "President, I'll be returning to my class now." Jade was already crowded by a bunch of boys without her realising it.

"Jade, want to be friends ? We can hang out sometimes too," said Chris Jenner. "Jade, let's be friends. I have always wanted a girl as my friend. What do you say ?" said Simon Foster. Daniel said "You guys, give her some space and air to breathe. She just entered the class, you know." Avalon teased Daniel "Who are you to say? You gave her a fright when she just entered the room. Your left a bad impression on her with your sword." Jade giggled and said "It was a bad first meeting but it will be a nice memory." Avalon smiled and said "You have a very positive thinking. Also, I can't give you a tour on the school later, so Robert will show you around. Is that alright ?" Jade nodded her head in agreement. Then, the homeroom teacher entered.

"Good morning, class. I am your homeroom teacher, Karen Liow. I will take this time to explain to all of you about the year planner. We will only be studying in the classroom on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As for Thursdays, we will be going to the Astronomy Club room from the moment school starts until school ends. On Fridays, we will be having night class which will be held on the school roof from 8 o'clock onwards. Be sure to eat your dinner first. Before that, we will have a gathering in this classroom from 1 o'clock till 5 o'clock to talk and get to know each other more. There are also trips planned out for the whole year but we will only inform you in the future. Any changes will be informed to you later on. Now, as you can see there are books in front of the class. Everyone is required to take one book only as this is the textbook we will be using for this year. Any questions ?" said Mrs Karen. The class was silent, so she allowed them to collect their books.

Bell rang marking the start of recess, so all students proceeded  to the cafeteria. Robert waited for Jade outside her class. He said "President sent me here. Let's go to the cafeteria, shall we ?" As they were walking to the cafeteria, Jade said "Thank you for guiding me around. Sorry for the trouble too." Robert responded "No problem. I usually do this when the president is busy with his work." Soon, they arrived at the cafeteria. It was a double storey building made of glass ! They entered the cafeteria when Jade was amazed by the alluring aroma of the food sold there. Robert said "The food here are delicious because they are prepared by professional chefs. You can order them at the front counter and claim your food at the back counter." Jade just smiled vaguely and said "I can't afford such high class food. It is expensive for me. Besides, I bring my lunch box everyday, so there's no need for me to go there."

After Robert had ordered his food, they sat together at a table. Jade was completely lured in by Robert's food which was Italian spaghetti with mushroom soup and garlic bread. As for Jade, it was just a sandwich with tuna fillings. Then, the cafeteria door opened when all the boys turned their heads to look. The whole cafeteria was silent as everyone's attention was at the cafeteria entrance. Do you want to know what they were looking at? What could it be ? Love Note 1 : Enrolment

This is a new story which will be uploaded following episodes. 'Love Note' is the title of this story. Please read it through and leave a comment.

Is a poor girl's life boring and not filled with glitz and glamour ? Well, read this to find out about a story with excitement and probably LOVE ?

Jade is the only child of the Stewart family. Her father, John Stewart , her mother, Analisa Stewart and herself live in a rundown wooden house which is the only wooden house left in the neighbourhood. Let me tell you about this neighbourhood. Jade lives in a low-class neighbourhood called Tilts Garden. Honestly, nobody knows why it is called Tilts Garden. Beside this neighbourhood is a prestigious school called Venus Academy. This academy specializes in stars and planet courses. Besides, it is mostly enrolled by rich students because everything from the food to facilities are of the best quality. Guess what ? Jade dreams of actually attending this academy because her ambition is to become an astronomer. 

Under a scholarship, Jade was accepted into Venus Academy after acing the entrance exam with flying colours. She was given the school uniform and everything else needed as a student of the academy. On her first day of school, she was very excited so she left home early. Upon her arrival in the school compound, she was dumbfounded. This was because the other students had a wealthy aura surrounding them which makes it uncomfortable for her since she is from a poor family. Following the directions, she arrived at the Principal's office. The academy's Principal was Mr. Taylor Jones. He had a very kind heart and takes pity on unlucky people. He gave Jade the information on the course she had registered for; Astronomy Course. Then, she was told to go to the Student Council Room.

A new student has to report himself or herself to the Student Council Room on the first day of school. That was the rule Jade was told about, so she searched for the Student Council Room. She struggled because she was still unfamiliar with the school area and she has no friends to help her out. When she was about to give up, her saviour appeared. A boy stretched out a helping hand towards Jade and said "Can I help you ?" She was very happy that the boy decided to take her to the Student Council Room, so she followed him obediently. They walked to the highest floor where there was only one room on that floor. The boy turned the doorknob and entered the room followed by Jade.

A boy was seated behind the desk which belonged to the Student Council President. The boy who led Jade to the room said "President, you have a guest. She seems to be a new student." The boy who was seated turned and smiled sweetly at Jade which made her heart skip a beat. It was her first time meeting a boy with such a mesmerizing smile. Well, it was already expected; she froze. "Hello, my name is Avalon Jennerson. I am the Student Council President of Venus Academy. The guy who led you here is the Vice President, Robert Fether. Pleased to meet you and welcome," said Avalon. Jade responded "Hi, I am Jade Stewart. I just transferred here today, so I was told to come here to report myself." Avalon stood up and looked at Jade from head to toe. Then, he stretched out his hand and shook Jade's hand. He said "Welcome to Venus Academy. You are accepted in our school." Jade was puzzled because she was already accepted into the school the first place. She wondered why the president, Avalon said that. 

"President, this is going to be chaotic since she is the first ever female student," said Robert. Jade asked "First female student ?" Avalon said "That's true. Luckily she enrolled into the Astronomy Course, so it will be fine. Our course have students with higher standards and manners. I'm sure they can take care of her." Jade was left in a daze as she could not understand a single thing said between Robert and Avalon. Suddenly, Robert held her shoulder and said "Let's get to class. You will be introduced to the whole class." Robert, Avalon and Jade went to the Astronomy Classroom. When the doors opened, Jade screamed ! Want to know what happened ? Curious of what Jade saw ?
